Pay for the question, not a subscription.

You don’t open an account at every data company. You fund a wallet with USDC. When an agent asks something that costs money, it pays for that call from the wallet. No API key.

How it works

Three steps, and no account.

  1. 01

    Fund a wallet

Send USDC to an address on Solana, Base, or Tempo. Setup prints one for each.

  2. 02

    Ask your question

When the answer needs paid data, the agent calls the tool that has it.

  3. 03

    Pay for that call

It pays from the wallet, one call at a time. No account, and no API key.

Fund

Send USDC on one of three networks.

Send USDC to an address on Solana, Base or Tempo. Calls cost 1 to 10 cents, so $1 covers 10 to 100 of them. Setup prints an address for each network. Fund the one you want to use.

  • SolanaA public blockchain.USDC address, printed at setup
  • BaseA public blockchain from Coinbase.USDC address, printed at setup
  • TempoA blockchain built for payments.USDC address, printed at setup

Pricing

What a call costs.

Prices are per call, paid from the wallet as the agent works. A question usually makes a handful of calls.

Glossary

The names you’ll see

Three short names show up in the docs. Each one is a way software pays for something, or a tool that starts an agent that can.

  • x402

When a tool costs money, the server can answer “payment required.” The agent pays and the call continues. That exchange is x402. There is no account to create.

    402 Payment Requiredx402.org
  • MPP

Machine Payments Protocol: another way for software to pay software. Metered Syntalic calls can settle through x402 or MPP.

    mpp.dev
  • pay.sh

A command-line tool that starts Claude Code or Codex with payment tools attached. Syntalic is in its live registry.

Fund a wallet. Ask your first question.

Calls cost 1 to 10 cents, so $1 of USDC covers 10 to 100 of them. You pay for what you ask, and nothing else.
